Just out of interest-what if any english bands/gutarists do you like? and what do you think in general in comparison to American music?

I am a huge fan of Thom Yorke and Johnny Greenwood both from the band Radiohead. This is probably because they tend to use such interesting chords (not just the regular powerchord stuff thats here in the states). As for the comparison I don't know... British music just seems... "smarter" if that makes any sense at all.

Kevin Shields of My Bloody Valentine. He paints with sound. Creates the most gorgeous soundscapes and textures. The guys from Radiohead do a good job as well. And correct me if i'm wrong but Ride also has a fantastic guitar sound. Andy Bell is his name, if I'm not mistaken...
