Its Home Studio 2004 and yes people here use it, myself included. It has been out since mid 2003.

Got it...used it alot. It's a great bargain. I recently went to SONAR 3.1 because it has quite a few more features and is much enhanced when deep editing audio. But otherwise, HS2004 is basically a stripped down version of SONAR. Try it work with it and if you out grow it later, upgrade to SONAR.

HS2004 big leg up on HS2003 is that it lets you record multiple tracks simultaneously. Don't waste your time or money on HS2003.
