Mix your song for you

Hi, i'm tired of mixing my own recordings, and want to try mixing songs by other people here. Wonder if anyone is interested?

All genres welcome but i prefer rock/metal.

I know what you mean!

I have been doing that very thing and it has been a breath of fresh air!

It is fun to mix stuff you did not track. You don't have to take ownership of the performance and you are a lot more objective.
It gives me an opportunity to mix a different genre of stuff as well as experiment with effects and placement that would not be appropriate on my own stuff.

Help the man out someone!

Question

jacen, I mean NO disrespect, but ......

If you don't know how to pan instruments, why would you even consider mixing down other peoples material?

Hi spinster, please read my latest reply on the panning thing first. I'm not really a total "idiot" with panning, and i'm just trying to learn more things here and try something new.

Anyways, my mixes will not be 100% good and pro. Any takers? i'm using Acid to mix.

Cheers.

Cool. I will check out your reply in the SF Forum.

Once again, I wasn't trying to criticize you.

Peace....
