MULTICOM PRO MDX4400 ....good?

http://www.behringer.com/02_products...X4400&lang=eng

Is this a decent compressor at all? I need one for live use and I think 4 compressors will work for me. Will this give me a good sound through a A&H GL3300 or a crappy one... I need a good sound because I will be running wireless in ears and they need to have a high quality sound. I need about 4 channels but don't wanna spend to much. My budget is around 20k and I'm already at 21,000!

Jeezus, dude.

If you absolutely need four reliable channels that work, then I'd recommend picking up two of them. That way you have backup for when one or two of your channels breaks down (which is usually right out of the box, but you might get lucky) or starts developing that nasty cross-talk the Behri's are so famous for.

Actually, I think you understood me wrong. I was being serious. You can pick up a couple of them and have 8 channels for less than it would cost you to buy four channels of something else. And it's a very good comp for live stuff. You might even get away recording with one.

At least one of the channels is bound not to work, but I seriously think that comp is worth it just for the channels that do work. And if all of them happen to work, then you lucked out -- but I'd still keep the other one around just for backup. It's a very worthwhile comp, and the limiter even okay. Actually more than good for live stuff.
