External Power Supplies
Seems like most of the outboard gear I have, and most of the stuff I'm looking at has these big ol' external power supplies. (Brent Averill, API, Chandler....)
Right now, I just have them sitting on a corner of a table next to my rack. But I'm wondering how some of you have incorporated these into your studio so they're not such an eye-sore; while still keeping them fairly accessible? Pics would be cool! ![]()

Here's an elegant solution. Your supplies are bigger than these wall warts, but the same principle applies.

I'd say: power strip at back of rack or one of those power strips with the outlets at the back, rackmountable and a power switch on the front (may need a 1U blank above and/or below if there's a lot of warts)
Off course all cables nicely zip-tied ![]() Herwig |

One of the things on my (fairly long) 'list of things to do'- run everything that has a fan (mackie p/s) through the wall to a box in the other room.
Once I get off my lazy ass.
