PM05 Monitors

I don't mean to cross post, but I just realized that there was a Fostex forum as well.

Anyone have any experience with the PM05 monitors?

I just read a rave review in Performing Songwriter magazine on them.

I am strictly a part-time at home recorder who is not quitting his day job anytime soon, but I am looking at an Audiophile 2496 soundcard and a pair of reference monitors.

From what I've read, these will do the trick for me, especially at the $250 price tag it carries.

Any comments on these babies, good and/or bad?

I'm thinking about getting a pair of small monitors too, so I wouldn't mind you telling us what you get and how they sound. Fostex started off many moons ago making speaker drivers, so their monitors should be good. That's as much as I know. Does Performing Songwriter give honest reviews? If so, then that could be a good indicator.

The Fostex PM1.0's got a good review from Future Music. You won't get real deep bass from any of these small monitors... But that might not matter.
