Question-HELP-can i use a sony mini-disc to record my drummers demo tracks????Help

We're demoing tracks and i thought that if i bought a behringer mixer and some mkes it might be a cheap yet acceptable way to record our demos cross country. I've got pro tools myself so i'd be mixing em on my sysytem.I guess once the drums were recorded we would mix down to a disc then save as wave file-when he send it to me i would import?it?. Another question how many mikes for a drum set-we play modern metal??Thanks guys-Pete
