Would you buy a bass from an online-shop?
At this time the dollar is very low for us Europeans. So buying gear in the US could really make a bargain. But I hesitate to buy a bass online. I can play similar guitars in my shop nextdoor and figure out if it sounds and feels good, but still ...
What would you do? |

no way!
i would definitely play the axe before buying it. The us price + shipping + taxes + duty + notknowinghowtheyhandledit > nl-price i guess if the guitar is expensive, its maybe easier to fly from amsterdam to the west coast and buy the axe yourself ![]()

one guitar from the same manufacturing line can sound completely different than another one.
And they too can be completely different to play.

I'm two out of three for buying guitars online.
I won't say "no" but you really have got to look at the circumstances.I bought my guitars within my own country from a supplier with liberal return policies.Your situation however seems to be a little more precarious.Still,if it's a major manufacturer and the price is that much lower.... ![]() |
