Best of the Cheapo Basses?
Need to get a bass for a kid whose memory level is on par with the blue fish in "Finding Nemo".
What's the best of the worst? |

Musicians friend has a low end Ibanez for 204 bucks. I borrowed it from a friend and it is a nice bass for the money.

Well I bought a bass a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to get a Yamaha RBX270 cause a lot of people here recommend it, but the none of the guitarshops around had one in stock.
So I ended up trying a Peavey Dyna Bass, in the same price range and I liked immediately. I've played a Fender Squier before wich is also well worth the money. I'm with Gidge on this one; get a Peavey, Fender or Yamaha. |

What about a G&L or a Squire? It could be a good idea to learn playing with a "classic" Fender setup.
