Low Watt Toob Amps ??

Looking for comments / preferences on:

Fender Blues Junior

and

Epiphone Galaxie 25

- Primarily for recording
- Fender Strat & Tele, Epiphone LP & Sheraton

The Epiphone I can't find in the local music shops to try out. The Fender, I'm going to give a try today. Both are in the same ball park price range.

In general, will these amps have to really be cranked to get a good toob tone from them ?

I have the Blues Jr and if you want really heavy tones you won't be happy. For clean to Blues it's pretty good.
The main thing to remember is that these amps will sound different after they've been on for a couple of hours than when you first crank them up.
