Placement of my Boss Blues Driver
hey-
I just got a Boss Blues Driver but am 900 miles away from my guitar and amp, for another 7 days . So can anyone advise me on my theory (crap or not) I got this to warm up my sterile solid state Marshall distortion . I mean I'm getting the classic angry sound I want but its still a little unsatisfying (ever since I heard those Rivera clips. Am saving for one of those.) I was going to place it in the effects loop to get it between my preamp and my power stage, since I like the general character of the amp sound itself. I don't think I want to put it between my guitar and my amp do I? I mean is my theory crap? any ideas would be appreciated thanks |

Hey, try it both places and see what the difference is. It's not like it takes more that 20 seconds to do the changeover.

I got a boss blues driver to use with my Fender Hot Rod Deville because I hate the built in distortion and it takes way too much volume to overdrive the clean side of the amp.
I place the blues driver in between the guitar and the amp. It does a great job. |
