Question Yorkville YSM1p or BX8 Studiophile Monitors

I'm trying to decide between these two monitors as I should have enough money to buy one after I sell my PODxt (If that will ever happen...) Anyways, they both have a lot of the same features but one thing that concerns me is the accuracy of the bass. I'm already leaning more towards the YSM1p's but I want to make sure they will have good bass response with the 6.5" woofer as compared to the 8" on the BX8. Also the is 15 watt difference between these two monitors going to make a difference? I would really like to hear from anyone who has tried these monitors. Thanks!

By the way, anybody want to buy a basically new PODxt for $300?

The Studiophiles just got the following endorsements in EQ magazine.

Jeff Rona - Film Composer for Traffic, Black Hawk Down.

David Kahne -Grammy Producer (Paul McCartney, Sugar Ray)

Terry Howard - Grammy engineer (Ray Charles)

Steven Barkan - Grammy engineer (BT, Mariah Carey, George Benson)

Jonathan Wolff - TV Composer (Senfeld, Will & Grace)

Both the BX8 and BX5s were endorsed.

And now me...I endorse them. I use the SP-5Bs the prior version of the BX5s. You want the 8s, the bass is light on the 5s. Not an issue once you learn their curve, however, the 8s will save you some time.

I'm real happy with the Yorkvilles. The bass is nice and tight.I would recommend getting a sub if you do alot of hiphop or electronica. They have nice clarity and learning to translate on them has been a snap.I haven't checked out the Studiophiles because I couldn't find a local dealer. The reviews I have seen for them were positive and as were the Yorkies. Here's a review for the Yorkies
