Smile I'm Dreaming Of A White Christmas......Please Listen At My Mix

In between watching some fantastic basketball today
and enjoying the family and kids, I finally tracked this and I've been
trying to
learn these changes for years! I used my 414MkII to get it down quickly and some other intresting devices to get a very "live" jazz club sound. I played this on my old 5416
Hollow-body Silvertone. I used a Line 6 Vetta set to clean and mic'd the whole thing with an SM-57 in the front and an Sm-57 on the back side of the cab. I was pleased with the recording aspects of it although I'm still trying to smooth out the chord transitions. This is for all of us out here that didn't get
some"snow" for Christmas. Here's hoping your Holiday is a blast and
looking
forward to the New Year. Cheers! (Interesting note-Old Silvertone
Guitars record
really nicely) Here's the link and Merry Christmas!

Click on the "White Christmas" link and have cup of hot chocolate on
me. : )

Nice warm tones on that guitar/amp.
thanks for sharing. Who makes the guitars for Silvertone?

The new Silvertones are made by Samick but mine is a vintage 1967 model which is made by Danelectro for Sears and Roebuck. It has a thin, hollowbody, single cutaway and De'Armond 2k pickups. It was a basic cheapy back in the 60's and it's definitely collectible now. Thanks for the listen.

Thanks Guys for the kind words and the listen. It's ironic that just last night, "Nightline" on ABC did a special on "White Christmas" and Irving Berlin and the enduring legacy of this song. I never knew that this one song touched so many people through the years. It seems to have become a symbol of Christmas for so many. I thought that was so cool.

I came in here with the intent of flaming your ass, but it's an awesome take!

Nice playing as well .

Only Christmas song I listened to voluntarily this year from beginning to end. No lie.
