NSAI Houston will host Jason Blume workshop

I just wanted to pass along information for anyone who might be able to get to Houston on January 17th. The local NSAI group will be hosting a workshop with Jason Blume, one of the big songwriting names.

If you have an interest, here is URL:

just for your information..

I know a couple of people who have been to Jasons workshops..

they both came away saying "it's great IF you want to write like Jason Blume !"

since the world already has one very successful Jason Blume, you might want to think twice about becoming a clone !

Just an opinion....think about it

I've been to three of Jason's workshops, and I didn't come away with that feeling at all. I found them to be very valuable and honestly presented.

He'd be the first to tell you that his is only one opinion, and you should never base anything on only one person's opinion.

I'm on bob's page. I've been to Blume's workshops and came away with a not great vibe. More interested in hawking his book or service or whatever it was in 2001. He didn't seem quite genuine about helping others but I certainly would go to see for yourself. The guy obviously knows what he's doing. I remember him bragging about placing w/ Britney and Backstreet Boyz, which did impress me.

Say Bob... when did you migrate over here from Just Plain Folks?

Cool

Jason's writing style is in the commercial pop/country/rock format.......it is very structured......that could be used to describe many writers, not just Jason Blume.......

if you wanna learn to write for commercial success in the pop/country genre, it will be hard to find a better person to learn from than Jason Blume.......
