Mutiltrack recording

I am new to multi track recording. I tried it out yesterday and it didn¡¦t work out well.

I recorded the first track: rhythm from a keyboard

Then I played the first track and I was recording vocal as a second track simultaneously.

The problem was the rhythm and the vocal we¡¦re synchronized ƒ¼

My machine is PIII 450 MHz, and 512 Ram, I¡¦ve used cool edit pro v2

One problem is that you haven't given enough information for anybody to help you out.

So, you have a time lag between the first track you recorded and the second track you're recording, right?

What soundcard are you using?
