Phantom powered mics US/UK

Hi all,

I've been reading that you guys tend to rate the Studio Projects B1. I've located one on ebay, but it's in America. If I had one shipped over here to the UK, would it still work OK?

Sorry if this is an extremely stupid question

Alex

I'm assumng it would because any microphone using phantom power expects 48V nominally.

Unless you can get an awesome deal on a used B1..
If you want a B1, you're better off buying it at www.sub.co.uk. The prices are just a bit higher than US prices but you'll save a lot on taxes and shipping costs.

Even with shipping etc the one i found is fractionally cheaper than red sub, but I'm annoyed because red sub are in my town, so I could have driven across town and bought one!

Still, you live and learn eh?

www.digitalvillage.co.uk had the B1 + shockmount deal for £79 a while back.

they were doing the B1 + shockmount + VB1 pre for £149 too which is a great deal

they might have changed the site name to www.dv247.com now
