Well the reason I wouldnt pay 50 bucks for his beat is that his beats sounds too MIDI! Meaning, to electrical.

I dont like that.

I like real sounds.

I am not hating, nor do I wanna argue. There are people who might like it, my personal opinion is that I DONT like it, and i WOULDNT pay 50 dollars for it.

Simple as it is

If you cant stand critisism dont post any beats.

those are all sound samples no midi was actually used on this track. I dont think they sound like midi but i'm always open to new ideas what ya got? so tell me how would you beef the sounds up so they didn't sound like midi. and please be specific if you can so that i can actually try it. so many cats say ad eq or compression but dont tell you where so you can see if their advice is any good. Help a brotha out

I think you have a few timing issues....

you're snare groove (besides being too loud) is off from the rest of the track

And if you used samples, then you used MIDI technology to sequence them, whether you're aware of it or not

he might not have good monitors, so he really cant notice a lot of things, (loudness, midi)

you see if you bought samples from a cd, you shouldnt do nothing to them, because they are already equalized and everything else

maybe if u wanna add little reverb for warmth (strings) but thats about it

How can this be? The guy that made the sample did not know what instruments i would put with it in a song so they cant have it eq'd and processed the song i am making.

What are some good monitors i was looking at the event series like the ps5 ps6 ps8 or the 20/20's. They are closer to my price range. You still didn't tell me how to beef the sounds up or how you would do it to make it mo better. If i have that midi sound i definately dont want that. Help a brotha out and please be specific if you can so that i can actually try it.

i got ps6

pretty good monitors

increase 100hz freq. for piano and horns, to add some warmth

maybe you can also increase 7KHz, this adds sharpness to synths, guitars, and piano

i think the most important is to increase 15KHz
believeing your samples are from synths, this will add more of that "real sound"

you see, i cant tell you how much to increase or decrease, this you have to decide on ur own

just listen to it

and dont do somethin in a day, rest your ears and work on ur eq or beat tomorrow, this way you ll feel the sound, otherwise if you listen to it for a long time you really cant notice no difference

good luck
