Wink

I read at Kid nepro that they sell cd's with patches to load into the midi port of my synth from my computer? Wow....
I have a roland D 110 synth and a Layla with Midi out.
Do you think I can do this? has anyone here done the same thing with success? Do the patches have to be compatible with my synth?
It sure would be cool..

Cool

A patch file or a bank of patches would be a sysex message that can only be understood by one brand of synth. Probably only one model also. You need some sort of librarian software or sysex download utility to get the file to your synth.

Thumbs up

I have a Nord Lead2 synth, an Access Virus b synth and a rocktron chameleon guitar prosseser that I upload presets into. some use Sysex and some use Midi files but they are all particular to their respective insterments. to load them in you can use a sequencer or a dumper program. (Dumpster-get it at the rocktron site)
