What would you say these are worth...
An Otari MX 70 that looks similar to this...

If the machines are in great shape, it's a steal!
If a lot of TLC is needed, factor the repair costs into the price. When I bought my used 16 track years ago, the seller wanted 4500 bones for it and I talked him down to 3500 because I pointed out work that would be needed to get the machine up and running 100%. To date I have spent about 100 bucks on parts and about 550 on labor. After the new year, I will spend a few more to get a couple of mis-behaving channels to work reliably. Factor service costs when you bid or buy any used gear and make sure you have a reliable service center to deal with and a good parts supplier. Studio ATRs are like cars.
