newbie what else do I need?

Ok I just want to record some stuff

ok I just want to make some basic songs with gits, vocals, some kind of drum track, assorted strings, and bass.



What else do I need? I am willing to buy whatever it takes to get the results I want. My specific question is how can I make drum tracks, strings and bass loops? I dont know shit about this stuff, but I really want to learn I dont care what it takes.


I am very new to all this so feel free to dumb it down as much as possible
