JV-1010 OS update

Anyone try and update your OS in the JV-1010? They have an OS update on their website and it tells you to play the midi files in sequence. I'm not sure, should select any particular channel? The midi files come up without a channel selected. The midi light never flashed, so I don't think it did anything, but maybe it doesn't flash in bios upgrade mode.
