Question

I am having trouble getting a good sound from my piano. I have a nice Oktava condenser mic, and an Alesis EQ going into a Tascam 414. I have get to get a sound I am proud of so I can move on to the guitar and vocals...

Any tips will be appreciated

Thanx

Wink

I can pretty well guarantee this solution, having used it many times. Attach a PZM mic to the inside of the lid (gaffers tape is fine for a temporary installation). One will work; with two properly located you'll get stereo with no phasing problems. Experiment with the position. You'll get clear, clean and true piano sound.
