Question sending tracks outboard and then back in??

I am trying to send tracks from CEP 2 to my Tascam mixer and outboard gear via a Delta 44 and then return a 2 track mix via the Delta to two open tracks of CEP.

But the two open tracks record "in the box".
I cant seem to get the two open track to only record the outboard signal.

??????

Sounds like you need to change the record source of your soundcard to 'Line In'. (not knowing your computer set up) Right click on your speaker in the taskbar...choose either 'mixer' or 'properties' and find the RECORD section and select LINE IN.

Right now, it sounds like you have either 'What you hear' or 'Wav' selected. (to record 'in the box' in CEPRO)

Hope this works.

Trigger, he is using a Delta 44 sound card and not soundblaster.

Yeah..its a Delta....

but I get the jist of what Trigger's saying and I have routed the 4 tracks in CEP out to each of the 4 outs of the Delta....with the channels hard panned left/right left/right.

The two open tracks are set to recieve input from the 1/2 inputs of the Delta (hard panned l/r).......but they are recieving inputs from within CEP and even if I turn my outboard mixer off they are recording a mix of the 4 playing tracks.

I need to make the inputs and outputs decrete.

Thanks though.

Any other thoughts???

Check your Delta driver control panel. A lot of times they default outputs 1/2 to 'Monitor Mix' which always gives you everything.
