hi hi! i have been using ce pro 2 for a while..

and really like it.. .very intuitive kinda interface and i can get all the automation and effects that i need.

i only have one problem that i havent been able to track down..

during playback, the playing frequently stops at seemingly random places and for no apparent reason... ie. it doesnt play through to the end of all tracks...

do i have some feature selected that i shouldnt? is this a bug? is it related to system performance? has anyone else experienced this with cool edit pro??

thanks in advance for any light shed on this matter! its really pissing me off!!

Probably a combination of system resources and your settings in CEP. Do a search in this forum for "Buffers" and you should run across some threads that discuss settings that'll let you get the most out of your machine... If it gets worse the more tracks and effects you have going, then it's a resources problem, probably. But CEP can run pretty fast on even slow computers if the buffers are set tiny enough.

I'd post a link, but I'm lazy. Good luck.

... a simple way to check your playback settings is to Rightclick on the play button and make sure you're set to 'play entire file' or 'play from cursor to end of file' and not either of the 'view' settings.

Yeh it sounds like you are pressing the play button without a circle around it. It defaults to play only what's in the current view and then stop. Try what triiger said. You can also press the play button with the circle around it. This plays the whole song.

trigger is right. With the view settings, CEP only plays back whats in the window at the time you press play.

Okay, if the end of the view screen is the "random" place, then I agree...but nobody's that dumb, right?

Right???
