info on 644

does anyone have any info on the tascam midistudio 644. Just purchased one and have absolutely no idea on how to operate it.

can anyone provide a link to a website where I could possibly find an owners manual or provide me with some information.

any and all help appreciated.

They used to have a much better web site with on line forums and more detailed contact info but, that was a life time ago.

Update!

I found an 8 page full color brochure on the 644 here at the house and have good quality scans of it on my computer!

If you'll provide me an e-mail address that can hold about a 2.5 meg e-mail, PM me with the address and I can send that out to you right away.

at (323) 727-4840. They're really responsive on that line, and I've heard bad things about email support at Tascam. Anyway, they will have the user's manual for the 644.

Ask for the parts department for the manual in Canadian dollars.

They usually have stock on manuals as well if the brochure doesn't give you enough info to get going.

Odds are, the manual would still be a good idea because of all the step by step info it includes.

Thanks so much for the brochure on the 644. It will be very helpful in understanding what the various features are for. I am still having trouble accessing all four channels in the master section simultaneously. I can get a signal on each channel individually, but am obviously missing an entry when I try to record on the next while monitoring what I just did on the previous. Nothing seems to work unless I have the "dual" button engaged which I know is not normal. Don't know what I am doing wrong. Any suggestions? So far I am simply trying to lay down four tracks in the master. Shouldn't be difficult right?
