Should I buy Mackie 1402? New or B Stock?

Hey guys I'm wondering about the Mackie 1402, looks like a great mixer.. great reviews

2 questions... Is this mixer also made in China? or does that only apply to Mackies lower end mixers?

another... Should I save 60$ and buy a B stock version or just go with a brand new one?

Of course saving money is tempting but not if its going to break down

I've heard people say they are starting to be made in China. I'ved had my 1202 VLZ Pro for about a year and it says "Made In USA" on it. I'd be leary of a purchase if they are being made in China now, even though I don't think "Made In China" holds the same stigma it did 30 years ago. As far as the "B-stock," I'd pay the extra $60 myself, unless you can verify the reason is just an external scrape or something. If you can't see it, pay the extra bucks. JMO. Good luck.

I agree with Mojo, spend the extra $$$ and get the new one. As for 'Made in China', everything is made in China except the bullet with their name on it but that is quickly changing as well. (Don't get me started). Now go ahead and buy the dad-gum new 1402 and be done with it!

Buy an Allen and Heath and get a real mixer. You will be sorry with a Mackie.
