Duce Malmay is on a distinguished road
new to Sonar 2

I'm a new Sonar user and I have 2 questions:

1. When I record from electric guitar through my input (Delta 44) the recording levels are always very low. I have turned everything I can find up but it is still very quite, almost inaudible. Someone who doesn't know the software said I must record through an amp if I'm not using a mic. Is this correct?

2. I have a midi connection from a keyboard to my computer. When I play the recording the music comes out of my keyboard speakers and not my computer monitors. Is there an easy fix?

thanks,

Duce

The 44 has line level inputs, you need a preamp to normalize the guitar signal to match line level voltage.

MIDI is not audio. Its only a communications interface/protocol that can remotely control MIDI equipment by sending information to a device to tell it what notes to play.

You need to read up on MIDI.

Yes. Route the audio from your keyboard back into your computers Line In.
