Upgrading and registering.

If I buy a copy of Sonar XL 2.2 on ebay and have the registration changed over to me (can that happen?), can I upgrade to Sonar 3.0 with the discount?

Anybody have any experience with that?

Nope.

If the previous user has already registered it in his name by either going to the Cakewalk website or calling them, you cannot call in with the same serial number to get a discounted upgrade.
