last used fx settings don't save in multitrack

I'll setup the fx in each rack, and after a session save, I open the saved session and all of the fx are in the rack as I put them, but all of the settings in each of the plugins return to default. It only happens with certain plugins(3rd party)

oops, if that is the case, why dont you save your presets after you use an effect. This may not be the perfect solution, but atleast you wont lose it.

This happens to me too using VST effects. I've been round and roun with Syntrillium over this and they ended up saying we're not going to discuss any VST issues with you.

I jump over to Sonar3 when I need to use those types of things, Sonar3 has a better memory !

I think the VST effects that Cool Edit Pro forgets setting for are:
1. Voxengo CurveEQ
2. Voxengo Ruedunoise
3. Elemental Firium

It seems to be stuff that has spectral displays with bunches of little settings in the spectrum.

I have 4 different VST adapters and tried different ones - no luck. Saving the settings as a preset could be an option but I don't do that, I just use whatever editor works properly for what I'm currently doing...
