tascam 688 no manual

help,
if there is any one out there that give me some quick tips to get going on ths machine I would appreiate it. I can record on several tracks and play back using mixer\tape function, but i fear i am missing the details that make this a good machine.

ps I should have a manual soon, but who knows

it has probably 12 scenes to choose from (up to 99).
scene 12 for mixdown
scenes 1-8 record to that corresponding#'s track with whatever inputs used.
scene 10- multitracks with mic inputs as main inputs & lines as the dual input.
select the scene and press recall button. good luck

Thanks for the tips I will check out the scenes to see what I come up with.
The reason I do not know if I'll get the manual is The salesman said he would have one right to my house from the manuals depatment and we all know salesman. if any body has another website with any 688 info on it or any other tips please let me know
