Click Track\Mid-song sig. change

Hi all. Gonna be starting some drum tracking next week in rented room. Acousticlly treated and cheap enough, but still I would like to have all logistics ironed out beforehand so I don't waste money. So here goes:

I want all drum tracking to be done TIGHT to a click. However one of the songs is 4/4 all the way through apart from the bridge section, which changes to 6/8. I don't see any obvious way of Has anybody been in a situation like this before using CEP 2 ? How did you end up achieving it ? The only way I see is to:

Record up to the point of time signature change, stop(after cymbal decay etc. has stopped), put cursor on point where si. changes, reset click 1:1 to cursor, change click sig., and start recording again on a new track from the new 1:1.

That all seems a little clunky and messy. Is there a better way ?

Cheers,

Nathan

Download a demo copy of a proper sequencer or soft studio (like FL Studio, Orion) and map out a click track and export it as audio. Then load it up into CoolEdit, and you can delete it once the drums are tracked. You could also pushed or drop the tempo by a few BPM using automation to build or reduce energy in your tune.
