What Mic do you use?

I think the general concensus would be that just because someone posts a clip of someone singing into their mic, that is not how it is going to sound when you get it.

I agree with the guy above me, but here ya go. Yhe track "Mailbox" is a Grove Tubes GT55, and the other track "Fate is Sealed" is a Audio Technica atm33a.

im liking the Audio Technica atm33a for some reason dont know much about mics but i sounds nice

thanks ill check into that mic and read up on it a little....i was looking at a rode nt 1000 or a rode ntk.....anybody familiar??

those are pretty good mics

Ntk has a much better sound then the nt1000, Jus so happens ive owned both mics, and now I own the NTK, dunno Im just happier with the ntk... Id encourage you to buy it, cant go wrong with the sound it captures.. enjoy..

I like the Rode NT1A

its a nice mike, but you still need a good pre amp to get the best out of it.

My album was recorded with just the pres on my mixer and it came out alright but i cant wait to start using a better pre amp with the Rode cuz that shit is gonna sound sexy for my r and b singers
