tascam us122 records 1 side

I am new with this but when i try to record, the left side is
only on the left side. im using the recording software that came
with it but signal only on one side or the other. tried
all the settings on 122, any ideas..

As far as I know, that's a mixer or pan setting in your software. You can direct monitor in mono by using those switches up top.

are you saying that you recorded on the left channel and now the sound is only playing back on the left?

if so, you just need to pan the output of the mono recorded track to center.
