i never cared too much for this, but in which format is better to save tracks (not the mixdown)??

I use PCM wav for everything important.

Me too. I think just about everbody uses Windows PCM wav, unless they've got some special format that's required.

Another format I use:

http://www.wavpack.com/

Wavpack is a free lossless compression plug in for CEP. (I learned of this over at www.audiomastersforum.org, btw)

Unlike mp3, wavepack can compress audio files without being destructive. I still use mp3 when I need to super-compress something to put it on the internet.

In PC better save it in PCM wave, that is the standard.
