Please review my Ashes
This is an old song I resurrected and am in the process of finalizing for posting in the MP3 clinic.
This is a slow piano type ballad Please review - (or not) Thanks Ashes All the people I know are leaving with the morning All the places I used to go have changed, without warning What's the use in the living If there's nothing to give And what's the use in the giving If this is how we live A friend of mine said, "Don't let these things get to your head" And I said "I might as well be dead" But the ashes have fallen from the sky Sometimes it scares me so, to cry There's nothing to believe in Break It all just don't seem real, but this is how I feel A friend of mine said "Don't let these things get to your head" And I said "I might as well be dead But the ashes have fallen from the sky Sometimes it scares me so, to cry There's nothing to believe in (Repeat to Fade) |

9/11 inspired?
If so, captured the despair of the moment convincingly... Daf |

I actually wrote this song about 10 years ago. When I started to home record about 5 months ago I pulled out all of my old writings and this jumped out at me. Upon reading this my wife thought the exact same thing that you did(911). I tweaked some of the lyrics slightly to update it and make it fit the moment.
Thanks for your reply. I will be posting this to the clinic soon. |
