Help!

I am trying to record directly to Cool Edit thru us-428. When I hook up my instrument I get no signal light on.

How do you guys record directly to your computers?

Does anyone have a clue what I might be doing wrong?

I know drivers and devices are set up correctly in Cool Edit and other programs I want to use, but I don't know what's wrong.

I also appear to be having problems with the rew, rec, stop, play, fwd buttons which can't be asigned to be able to control from my mixer when using Reason, what am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

i don't use reason, i use cakewalk, so i didn't answer your post.

in sonar, you set the us-428 as a MMC controller and that gives you the ability to use the rew, fwd, and play buttons etc...

sonar, also has an audio selector which allows you to list the audio ins/outs so that you can record and playback through the us-428 usb.
