244 routing as a mixer...
hey guys,
i've been recording tracks on my 244 and transporting the tracks to my computer for mixing. i have used the line outs, as well as the tape outs for this. i can only transport 2 tracks at a time to my stereo soundcard. my questions are: 1)what is the best signal route out of the 244 for this? 2)what is the best way to send a stereo signal back to the 244 for monitoring? thanks again- jv |

Yes - it's one of the best manuals I've seen. When i bought mine new many years ago it came with an additional booklet (in Swedish if I remember correctly) with the main parts of the manual and tips & tricks added. I learned a lot from that and the manual...
Why do you prefer recording to the 244 before going to the computer??? |

244---> computer
... i record to the 244 first because i like the sound of tape, and then the ability to mix and edit on the computer without degradation.
thanks- jv |
