Adat syncing with K2500

I have an ADAT XT20, ADAT-EDIT VST 3.7 MOTU midi express and a K2500. I have the ADAT edit set up as a master to the XT-20.

Question 1. What do the midi devices that show up in VST (adatpcr midi in/out) represent? is it MTC, MMC or midi clock.
Ultimately I am trying to hit play on the ADAT XT and have the K2500 seq start and be in sync with the adat. Any suggestions.

Question 2. I have a tascam 564 which can only be a MTC master. How can I transfer tracks from it onto the adat in sync with the MTC?
