24/48 midiman

I have an eight track recorder (BR-8) and I use it to get my track like I want them. I was using my computer as a DAT with N-Track Studio. Then I wanted to go to 24 bit since N-Track has that Option. I purchased a 24/48 sound card from Midiman. Now This computer...N-Track won't record anything. I checked and the sound card is installed properly. But maybe the soundcard can't record though it's Optical input.
