Balancing an RNC?
I think I read that by using the RNC in conjunction with the RNP the signal is effectively balanced throughout, due to the way they connect together. Is this true or have I made this up? If it is true, are there any other pre's out there that can connect to the RNC and keep the signal balanced?
Cheers

Yes, it's true. Any mic pre with an insert built into it will allow you to move the RNC around in a balanced configuration.

It doesn't really balance the RNC but it does balance the line going out to the recorder.
Any preamp that has a line level balanced I/O would do the trick. |

Thanks.
So does this mean that if the unbalanced RNC is inserted to the side chain or insert of a pre amp or mixer who's balanced signal then goes out to the balanced input of a recorder that the noise and interference that can be introduced with unbalanced cables is no longer an issue, or can the RNC still introduce these nasties into the signal chain and they will remain even in the balanced signal that goes to the recorder?
