Angry

I have a celeron 400, SB Live, 64 mb Ram Adaptec 2940U2W, 2 4 gb Seagate medalist pro SCSI. When I record I get annoying pops and clicks. I have used three different mics, different multitrack programs (Cool Edit)(CEP), played around with input recording level. How can I get a clean recording. In multitrack recording the clicks and pops are scatteeed randomly throughout the track. Some days are worse than others. When recording single tracks there are occasional clicks. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Just from the sound of it (no pun intended) I would double check all your cable connections. Eliminate any unnecessary adapters etc. Good luck with this!

Wink

There have been a lot of "cracking and popping" issues with various Soundblaster products. In past cases they have been resolved by proper/updated drivers.

I believe that Flavio's n-Track FAQ discusses some of this.
