Sync Issues

I am trying to transfer songs from a BR-8 to Cool Edit Pro (version 1.2)

I can get CE to wait for the signal from the BR-8 but it starts ahead of the actual track (ie - begins recording at the 4 or 5 second mark, not at the beginning). This is a problem as I am trying to transfer each track individually, in order to modify / add tracks / etc.

I have the BR-8 set as the master.

I am sure it is a simple setting that I am missing, but any help would be greatly appreciated!

not sure if this will help, but after you bring it over, you can right mouse click on the wave form and then set the offset to zero.
