Evantide gear?
I was just curious as to why this brand name is not mentioned very much. Is it pretty much just because of the price point or are they not user friendly or ?
I see them all the time for sale but I never give them a second thought because I don't know much about them. Any thoughts? What are the most common units for them? RF

The harmonizer is the most used, second is the delay they have. They are pretty pricey. I guess it's mostly that what keeps people from buying them. In a budget setup, most people don't tend to spend half their fortune in a delay or -even less- in a harmonizer...
The harmonizer isn't that easy to use either I guess. I once saw a dude use it on a string quartet to build an entire symphony orchestra from it. In fact, the quartet recorded their score twice, and those 4 tracks (stereo!) were then doubled using the harmonizer.

Their harmonizer is an industry standard. Most people here don't use $1k processors much less $1k harmonizers.

I almost picked up a used H3500 for $1100.00 once..didn't do it because I usally track and don't mix...They are out there but you gotta be there to snap 'em up..Now if I wanted one I'd never find one..LOL

you don't see those "olde" ones go for a grand or less?... those old early 80's stuff. The original harmonizer ...I don't remember the number now...or maybe completely wrong...but like the 900 series...wasn't there a 949 and a 910?... both I'd bet IF you could find one for sale would be cheap.

Have used a DSP7000 for about two years with excellent results. As expected, the harmonizers are world class but so are the reverbs, the digital compressors, the digital limiters, the duckers, the delays, the modulations, the test programs, the calibration tools etc.etc.etc. I don't know of anything that does so many things so well. Even the 24/96 converters in bypass mode are great!
