could someone please explain to me how to record from a video tape(vhs)to an audio cd

if i could hook up a video(vhs)machine to my pc to record onto a cd,what else would i need

What equipment are you using?

You seem to be including a superfluous step. Why not record directly from N-track to the CD? Why include the VHS in the equation?
