hi could someone tell me if there is a software program around like cool edit 2000
that has just as many dsp effects but is alot
faster than cool edit 2000 in applying those effects and around the same price as n-track
which i already have

DSP or DX effects will work with ANY program that accepts them. N-track does, CoolEdit does, all of the big boys do.

Therefore you don't need to find a program WITH effects, you just need to look for effects to use with your program.

You can download Blueline effects from http://members.xoom.com/digilogue/english/home.htm I like em all right and they work with n-Track pretty well (some crashes).

Check out the Links section of www.fasoft.com for more info. It's hard to say anything about speed though.

Also, Event makes a suite of DSP effects that sells for a good chunk of change. I was looking at them the other day at www.8thstreet.com
