Fairchild made a damn good compressor, back in the day...
They run about $60,000 now though. I never heard their name associated with great preamps though. The auction says: "No schematic, needs a power supply, untested, sold as-is...." I'd stay away from it.

used to have one,,,, Thats one of those things where you really have to know electronics to keep it running right! After paying my teck 2000 It sounded incredible (for 2 months untill it broke again!
