Lucid A/D Converter

I'm thinking of buying the Lucid A/D unit to get great data conversion outside of the computer. I see it has two channels in, and SPDIF out (as well as AES/EBU and TOSLINK). My question is, if I'm recording an acoustic guitar with a matched pair of mics, can I send those signals to two DIFFERENT tracks (left mic and right mic) in my multi-track software? If so, how would I accomplish this?

Should be no problem.

Assuming you have (or will buy) a card that will support spdif or optical into your computer, when you open your recording software and arm the tracks for recording, most software will give you the choice of spdif left/right or stereo.

Simply arm the first track spdif left and the second track spdif right.That will give you 2 independant mono tracks.
