Bpm

Here is my problem.

I am semi-new with recording, and decided to try to do it right this time. I set up my metronome at 87, and recorded a tick track. Odd thing is, the tick track seems to not line up with the beat lines at the bottom. The | | | you know? How do I make that line up?

I get good sound and tone in there, and can multitrack/use effect/etc no problem, I just want to be able to line everything up well.

Thanks for the help in advance!

Paul

I dont know what lines you have at the bottom of whatever you're talking about, but CEP has its own metronome. I'd use it and save another track.

If what you record isnt lining up, you might have a latency problem

Go to VIEW-->Session Properties, and a dockable window will appear. Here you can set the tempo, time sig, and key. Double click on the metronome button to customize

I am using the metronome to create the tick track. The BPM's are right, I just can't get the ticks to line up with the metronome track.

You're recording the metronome as audio?

If the CEP metronome and the recorded track dont line up, you've most likely got a latency problem.

But there's no reason to record a click track. Just use the Cool Metronome when you need it and turn it off.

Right click in the "lines at the bottom" and select "Display time format----> Bars and Beats".
