CEP 1.2 with upgrade?

I am just wondering whether CEP 1.2 is OK/equally functional in WinXP Home with the upgrade to 2.0, or is it better to get version 2.0? I have an opportunity to get the 1.2 w/upgrade for pretty cheap.

Won't you end up either way with CoolEdit 2.0?

I use 2.1 with XP Pro flawlessly
