He is smoking!

He has several friends here in Chicago and shows up on a radio program to jam now and again.

He's legendary in Australia, where he comes from. Plays Maton acoustics and has his own line of them.

His brother, Phil, is pretty damn good too. Must be good genes!

Phil is frequently considered to be the better guitarist of the two...............he has a more genuine feel whereas Tommy seems to be the more technique oriented. Either way they are both great guitarists, and Armi, give me my ECW80 or your Messiah over one of the TE signatures any day.

I saw him at Winfield about 3 years ago, and he literally blew the whole crowd away. People pretty much talked about no one else, and by Thursday afternoon, the crowds were overflowing every time he played.

The thing I like best about him, is that he's not only a phenomenal guitar player, but also a great entertainer. He plays the crowd at least as well as the guitar. If he comes to your area, beg borrow or steal a ticket. You won't be sorry.

Cool

I'm with Ausrock.

TE is way too flash for my liking, although he is indeed a phenomenal player. Top bloke too from what I can gather.

I've only seen Phil & Tommy playing together once - I think it was on Hey Hey It's Saturday some years ago, and they made some fine music together.

I don't think Phil has ever ventured to SandGroper country, but I'd certainly check him out if he ever did get this side of the Nullabor.

Aus - I've never played one of the TE's but didn't like the whole "signature" concept. I'm happy to have Maton's name plastered on my guitar's but don't want anyone else's - no matter who it is, but then, I'm strange that way!

Took the Messiah to a "demo-class" studio on Sunday to track some stuff - I'll stick a post about my experiences in the recording forum sometime soon - did finally get to hear what a KM84 sounds like, but there were a lot of other things that irked me!
